Foi confirmado recentemente que os Foo Fighters serão a banda que irá encerrar a edição da BlizzCon deste ano.
Este evento, que irá decorrer entre 22 e 23 de Outubro, no sitio do costume, Anaheim Convention Center, é um dos maiores anualmente levados a cabo para celebrar o mundo dos videojogos, mais particularmente, os da Blizzard, como são os seus Warcraft, Starcraft e Diablo.
O concerto dos Foo Fighters terá uma emissão em directo, via Internet e DIRECTV® nos USA. Quem quiser assistir terá de “viewers can watch at home by ordering a BlizzCon Virtual Ticket, offering comprehensive live coverage of the event (including Foo Fighters’ performance) globally over the Internet and also on DIRECTV® in the United States.”
A abrir o concerto estará a banda da Blizzard, The Artist Formerly Known as Level 80 Elite Tauren Chieftain. A banda de metal composta por elementos da Blizzardirá tentar incendiar o rastilho da plateia com sons já conhecidos e alguns novos dos Universos Warcraft, StarCraft, e Diablo antes de passar a voz aos Foo Fighters.
“There’s no better way to cap off two days of gaming entertainment than by blowing the roof off the convention center with an awesome rock concert,” afirmou Mike Morhaime, CEO e co-fundador da Blizzard Entertainment. “Everyone attending BlizzCon and watching from home can look forward to ending the show with a bang when Foo Fighters bring the house down.”
